The Offer

The Breakaway

The Breakaway is named for the force required to overcome static friction, and for the rider who escapes the pack. One method, the Disciplined Entrepreneurship 24 Steps backbone, adapted into three formats. I design and deliver all of them myself.

1 to 3 weeks

Student Cohort Intensive

High school or university students

Ideation → customer discovery → build → Demo Day with a parent/stakeholder showcase. This is the CRI style flagship.

  • Students leave having interviewed real customers, built a real pitch, and presented to a real audience.
  • In many cases, they leave with more than a pitch: the beginnings of a real company.

1 to 3 weeks

University & Exec Ed Module

MBA, undergraduate, and executive audiences

A semester of venture creation, compressed. Designed together with the host program's learning objectives.

  • A proven course design, Disciplined Entrepreneurship adapted, delivered on your calendar.

Scoped per engagement

Keynotes, corporate innovation sprints, government programs

  • A tailored syllabus and day by day plan

Method

Breaking Static Friction

The engineering metaphor is the method.

  1. 01 · Days 1 to 2

    Believe

Confidence before content. Proof that people like them have done this; every student gets a small public win inside the first 48 hours.

  2. 02 · The middle

    Move

Break static friction with real motion: customer interviews, prototypes, pitches. Daily cadence: teach → do → present.

  3. 03 · Final stretch → Demo Day

    Momentum

Kinetic friction is lower than static; stack public reps until stopping feels harder than continuing.

What I actually teach

Storytelling

Every student pitches publicly, repeatedly, culminating at Demo Day

Fundraising

How investors actually think; students build and defend a real ask

Team building

Cohorts form, storm, and ship as real teams

Company ops

The unglamorous machinery that keeps an idea alive after contact with reality

Hardware

Physical product tracks welcome; atoms, not just bits

Handling chaos

Plans break during the program (sometimes on purpose); students learn to run at it
